Die Wasserstraßen Berlins prägen bis heute das Leben der Stadt. Spree, Havel und Oder-Havel-Kanal verbinden Berlin und bieten zugleich Raum für Freizeit, Tourismus und Erholung.

Im Osthafen entsteht mit dem »Grenzhafen« ein neuer Kulturstandort auf dem Wasser. Das Projekt entwickelt einen historischen Ort zwischen Treptow-Köpenick und Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg neu und verbindet Erinnerungskultur mit zeitgemäßer Architektur.

Geplant sind zwei Museen, ein Museumshafen sowie kulturelle und gastronomische Angebote direkt an der Spree. Der Grenzhafen Berlin umfasst:

• Anleger für Fahrgastschiffe
• Marina
• Bootshaus
• Hafenkantine
• Rooftop

Der neue Standort ergänzt das bestehende Kultur- und Freizeitangebot rund um Arena und Badeschiff und schafft somit eine neue touristische Attraktion außerhalb von Berlin-Mitte.

Berlin's waterways shape the life of the city to this day. The Spree, the Havel and the Oder-Havel Canal connect Berlin while also offering space for leisure, tourism and recreation.

In the Osthafen, the »Grenzhafen« is taking shape as a new cultural destination on the water. The project redevelops a historic site between Treptow-Köpenick and Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, combining a culture of remembrance with contemporary architecture.

Plans include two museums, a museum harbour as well as cultural and dining offerings directly on the Spree. The Grenzhafen Berlin comprises:

• a pier for passenger ships
• a marina
• a boathouse
• a harbour canteen
• a rooftop

The new venue complements the existing cultural and leisure offerings around the Arena and Badeschiff, creating a new tourist attraction outside of Berlin-Mitte.
